Application

EastmanCAP-482-0.5 Cellulose acetate-propionate is a low-odor, free-flowing powder. Because it has good solubility in ink solvent, compatible with other resins used in printing ink, but also has a high melting point, so it is especially suitable for printing ink and transparent overprint varnish. The film formed by EastmanCAP-482-0.5 has good solvent release, good anti-blocking property and good oil resistance, which is better than other film forming agents. The solubility and hardness properties of CAP-482-0.5 make it a good resin for nail varnish coating. It is often used in conjunction with EastmanCAP-482-20 to optimize the viscosity of preparations. Eastman CAP-482-0.5 can be legally used in certain food-contact applications according to the FDA’s Food Additives Specification.
