Short Description:

SF-A550 is a bifunctional organosilane with active amino group and hydrolyzable ethoxy silane group. Due to its reactive dual nature, it is able to organically bond together inorganic materials (such as glass, metal, filler) and organic polymers (such as thermoplastics, thermoset plastics or elastomers). It is used as a tackifier, surface modifier at organic/inorganic interfaces (corrosion prevention, primer) or as a silicone polymer or crosslinker (water crosslinked polymer).

It is a colorless transparent liquid with low viscosity, with a distinct odor of ammonia, soluble alcohols, aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbons. In addition, it is completely soluble in water and reacts with water immediately.

Application

1.Coatings, adhesives, sealants: it with polysulfide, ethyl carbamate, room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber, epoxy resin, nitrile rubber, phenolic resin binder and sealant, it can increase the dispersion of the filler, so that the filler maximum adhesion to glass, aluminum and steel.

2.Fiberglass: In fiberglass reinforced thermoset plastics, SA-A550 can greatly improve and enhance the wet and dry flexural strength, compressive strength, shear strength and other physical and mechanical properties and wet electrical properties of plastics.

3.Mineral Filled Resins: SF-A550 helps maximize the physical and electrical properties of mineral filled phenolics, epoxies, polyamides, polyterephthylates, and many other thermoset and thermoplastic composites. The wetting and dispersion of the filler in the polymer matrix is usually also improved.

4.Casting: During shell molding, SF-A550 can improve the sand strength of coated sand and reduce gas generation.

5.Grinding wheel: In the manufacture of grinding wheel, SF-A550 helps to improve the adhesion of phenolic resin and water resistance of self-hardening sand.
